Dr. Rob Heit received his Bachelors of Science degree majoring in Sports Medicine from Central Michigan University (the country's very 1st school for sports medicine) in 1988. He has worked with sports related injuries pertaining to high school, college, professional and weekend recreational athletes for over 18 years. While on staff at Central Michigan University, Temple University, and the Philadelphia 76ers, Dr. Heit treated many well known athletes. Our Clinic is the official team chiropractic and massage facility for the Rockford Lightning and Rockford RiverHawks. Dr. Heit received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic graduating with honors in 1993. He has cared for infants, children, adults, and seniors for over 12 years. Dr. Heit's heart is to treat the whole person; physically, nutritionally, mentally, and spiritually. This allows patients to not only regain, but maintain "OPTIMAL HEALTH".

I have been working at Heit Rehabilitation for several years now. It has been a great experience to be able to increase my knowledge of chiropractic care and see the benefits of that care in my own life, as well as the lives of my immediate family. Having the opportunity to see first-hand the improvement of health take place in individual lives is very rewarding. I have been working in the Chiropractic field for approximately four years. I believe that Chiropractic care is beneficial for everyone from children to the elderly. I receive Chiropractic care regularly and have had great results with relief from headaches and back pain. My body's ability to fight off infections has also increased greatly. My children also receive Chiropractic care. I previously worked in the field of Physical Therapy for 9 years as a Physical Therapy Assistant. I have worked in a variety of settings from sports medicine, hospitals, and nursing homes. My desire then and today is the same: To help people reach their highest level of function possible.

I first started coming to Dr. Heit as a patient after an auto accident. Within a few visits to Dr. Heit’s office I noticed a significant improvement in both mobility and lessening of pain. I have been a firm believer in chiropractic care ever since. I am the mother of 4 boys (two sets of twins) and they have also benefited greatly from chiropractic care.  I have been working at Heit Rehabilitation since early 2004, and I love being able to see the improvement in our patients’ lives. I am proud to be a part of a team that truly cares about helping the patient achieve the best possible outcome.

I work with patients to resolve and manage disorders involving all body systems. Collaborating with health care practitioners in a multidisciplinary setting like Heit Rehabilitation allows me to utilize my training and experience to provide the patient with whole health.
